Keno prize schedules are not universal. The amount paid for the same number of hits can change by lottery, casino, risk mode and game format. This page uses clearly labeled official 80/20 Keno schedules as references, adds exact hit odds calculated from the draw mechanics, and shows why you should always identify the paytable before comparing prizes.

Ohio Lottery KENO — official 80/20 payout table
The detailed charts below use the current Ohio Lottery KENO basic-game prize schedule. The official game uses an 80-number pool, draws 20 numbers and lets players choose 1 to 10 spots. Published prize values are based on a $1 wager and scale with the wager amount. The current operating procedure shown on the official page is effective October 18, 2025.

Exact probabilities and exact odds above are KenoCalc calculations for an 80-number pool with 20 numbers drawn. Prize amounts and overall winning odds are tied to the cited Ohio Lottery basic-game schedule. Booster features are not included in these tables.
Ohio top-prize cap: the 8, 9 and 10 Spot top prizes are subject to a $2,000,000 maximum payout for a single drawing. If multiple top-prize tickets would push the drawing above that cap, each winning ticket receives a proportional share of the $2,000,000.
Why there is no universal Keno payout chart
Connecticut Lottery KENO provides a useful control example. It also uses the classic 80/20 structure and 1–10 spot play, so the underlying exact hit probabilities are the same. The prize schedule is not the same.

Lower tiers can differ too. For example, a 10-spot ticket with six matches pays $10 per $1 in the Ohio reference schedule but $15 in the Connecticut schedule. The 9 Spot schedules even reward different outcomes: Ohio pays $2 for four hits and has overall winning odds of 1 in 6.53, while Connecticut does not pay for four hits but pays $2 for zero hits, producing overall odds of about 1 in 9.74.
Connecticut also limits the maximum basic-game prize to $100,000 per game without the Bonus Multiplier, regardless of wager amount. That is another reason not to assume that every prize line scales without a cap.

BCLC Keno payout chart — BC Lottery Pick 1 to Pick 10
BCLC Keno in British Columbia uses the classic 80/20 format: 20 numbers are drawn from 1 to 80, and a standard Keno selection can contain 1 to 10 picked numbers. The official BCLC game conditions dated July 2025 publish the following base-game prizes for each $1 played.

Because BCLC uses the same 80-number pool and 20-number draw as the Ohio reference schedule above, the exact hit probabilities for the same pick count are identical. The payout amounts are not: for example, BCLC pays $500 for 5 of 5 and $15,000 for 8 of 8 per $1, while the Ohio reference table pays $410 and $10,000 respectively.

How to read a Keno payout chart
1. Spot count
A “spot” is the number of selections on the ticket. A 5 Spot game means five numbers were picked; a 10 Spot game means ten were picked.
2. Match count
The match column shows how many of your selected numbers appeared among the drawn numbers. Only rows listed as paying outcomes return a prize.
3. Prize amount
The tables on this page use the source's $1 base wager. If the game's rules scale prizes linearly, multiply the listed prize by the wager amount.
4. Exact odds
The odds column describes the rarity of that exact hit count, not the chance of receiving any prize across the entire paytable.
Payout, odds and RTP are different numbers
A payout chart tells you what a result pays. It does not tell you by itself how often the result occurs or whether the full game offers a high or low theoretical return.
For a complete paytable, theoretical RTP is the sum of each exact-hit probability multiplied by the payout multiplier assigned to that result. This is why looking only at the top prize can be misleading: a very large jackpot may sit on an extremely rare line, while smaller prizes can contribute much more to total return.

Classic 80/20 payouts do not apply automatically to crypto Keno
The reference charts above use classic 80/20 Keno. Many instant or crypto-style Keno games use compact formats such as 40 numbers with 10 drawn, while other operators use different pool sizes, risk modes and payout schedules.
Do not copy an 80/20 payout chart into a 40/10 game. Even when both formats draw one quarter of the number pool, their exact hit distributions are not identical, and their paytables can differ substantially.

What is a Keno payout chart?
A Keno payout chart lists the prize attached to each paying hit count for a specific spot game and paytable. It should always be tied to a named game, lottery or operator because Keno payouts are not universal.
What does BCLC Keno pay?
BCLC Keno uses a specific British Columbia Lottery Corporation prize table. In the cited July 2025 base-game schedule, prizes per $1 range from $2 for Pick 1 with one match to $200,000 for Pick 10 with all ten numbers matched. Lower-tier prizes depend on the pick count and number of matches, and BCLC applies prize limits defined in its official game conditions.
How much does 10 Spot Keno pay?
There is no single universal 10 Spot payout. In the Ohio Lottery reference table used here, matching 10 of 10 pays $100,000 on a $1 base wager. Other games can use different lower-tier payouts, caps or top prizes.
How much does 5 Spot Keno pay?
In the cited Ohio reference schedule, 3 hits pay $2, 4 hits pay $18 and 5 hits pay $410 per $1. Connecticut's current 5 Spot table, for example, uses different prizes for some of those same hit counts.
Do higher Keno payouts mean better odds?
No. The draw format determines the probability of each hit count. The paytable decides how much those outcomes are worth. A larger prize is often attached to a rarer result.
What is the difference between a payout chart and a payout calculator?
A payout chart is a reference schedule for a specific game. A payout calculator takes a stake and multiplier and converts them into gross payout, profit and related value metrics.
Can two Keno games have the same odds but different payouts?
Yes. If two games use the same number pool, draw size and pick count, their hit probabilities can be identical while their payout schedules differ. That changes RTP, house edge and volatility.
Responsible use: payout tables describe prize rules, not a method for predicting winning numbers. Keno outcomes remain random in a fair draw, and a larger advertised prize does not make the corresponding result more likely.
